About Us

Statement of Faith

James Menkhoff

  1. I believe that the Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired by God. I use only the King James Bible in my reading and preaching.
  2. I believe that there is only one true and living God in the unity of the Godhead. There are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection.
  3. I believe that Satan was once holy and enjoyed heavenly honors, but because of pride and ambition, fell and drew a host of angels with him. He is now the prince and power of the air, and will spend eternity in hell prepared for him and his angels.
  4. I believe in the Genesis account of creation.
  5. I believe man was created in innocence and voluntarily transgressed against God. Man has fell from sinless state which resulted in all mankind being sinners and are without excuse.
  6. I believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and that He is the Son of God, and God the Son.
  7. I believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly by grace because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary, taking the sins of the world upon Himself, dying for the unjust, and having risen form the dead, He is now enthroned at the right hand of the Father in heaven.
  8. I believe that the salvation is a free gift for all that receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Belief in Him is justification which includes pardon of sin and the gift of eternal life on the principles of righteousness which we have done.
  9. I believe that repentance and faith are solemn obligations, being convicted by the Holy Spirit of God of our guilt, we turn to God in confession of our sin and receiving Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.
  10. I believe that a Baptist church is a congregation of baptized believers fellowshipping together in a local assembly.
  11. I believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with the authority of the local church, showing a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  12. I believe salvation, baptism, are pre-requisites for membership in a local Baptist church and the privilege of partaking of the Lord's supper.
  13. I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the saints. The dead bodily rising first and those that are alive and remain will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.
  14. I believe that Jesus Christ will bodily return to this earth at the end of the tribulation and step foot on the Mount of Olives and Satan will be defeated which will usher in the millennial reign of Christ and all raptured believers and Old Testament saints will rule and reign with Him for one thousand years.
  15. I believe the command to give the Gospel to the world was given to the churches.
  16. I believe in tithing and I tithe and give offerings and faith promise to my local church, the Fremont Baptist Temple, Fremont, Ohio.
